The Thai Royal Anthem

The lyrics were written by Prince Narisaranuvadtivongs around 1913 and revised by King Rama VI. Until 1932 Phleng Sansasoen Phra Barami was the national anthem of Siam and was then replaced by Phleng Chat (the National Anthem).

English translation

I, a servant of Your Majesty,
lay my heart and my head down on Your feet
to pay You my utmost tribute.
(You are) The lord protector of the country,
The great of the Chakri Dynasty,
The leader of the Siamese people,
The highest by rank.
Under Your protection, guidance,
and as the results of Your toil,
all Thais are peacefully happy and prosperous.
I pray that whatever You wish for be granted to You.
